How Our Network Works

Talk with a coating provider

Who will I talk to?

When you call or send a request, you are connected with an independent provider in our network. That provider is a local floor coating business. They are not part of Applethread Floor Coating, and they do the work themselves.

What might the provider ask you?

Expect a few easy questions. Nothing tricky.

  • How big is the garage or slab?
  • How old is the concrete?
  • Are there cracks, oil stains, or old paint?
  • Does water ever show up on the floor?
  • Do you have a look in mind, or a use, like parking or a workshop?

Photos can help. So can a rough idea of your budget.

What should you ask the provider?

A good call goes both ways. Bring your own list:

  • How will you prepare the slab?
  • Which coating do you suggest, and why?
  • How long before I can walk or park on it?
  • What could change the price once work starts?
  • Is the quote in writing?
  • What does the provider cover if something goes wrong?

Many homeowners also ask about custom floor finishes, like color flakes or a matte look. Ask what is possible for your space.

Where can you help, and where should a pro step in?

You can empty the garage, sweep, and point out problem spots. Grinding, filling cracks, and mixing coatings take skill and tools. A provider can explain which parts are yours and which are theirs.

Who makes the final call?

You do. Talking to a provider does not lock you in. There is no obligation, and you can compare more than one quote. Take your time.
